Southwestern Energy HR Business Partner - Morgantown, WV in Morgantown, West Virginia

As a Human Resources Business Partner for Southwestern Energy you will provide both strategic and tactical HR support to a diverse set of businesses and clients across Southwestern Energy’s portfolio in West Virginia. You will report to the HR Director. This position is located in Morgantown, WV.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Provide coaching and/or programs to address business issues related to areas such as workforce planning/selection, compensation, retention, work groups organizational structure, associate development, succession planning and talent management

  • Perform broad professional human resources activities to support policies and programs including engagement, change management, on-boarding, orientation, compensation, job evaluation, job descriptions, performance & talent management, HR compliance, affirmative action and employee relations

  • Manage and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations while advising the business on consequence management

  • Develop, administer and support HR programs, projects, analytics, and systems in support of the broader HR team

  • Conduct HR-related training (e.g., new hire orientation, leadership HR compliance, positive employee relations, etc.)

  • Establish reporting and methodologies to drive data analysis and trend review to proactively forecast gaps in current practices and routines as compared to future state alignments. Identify, recommend, develop and implement programs or processes to address business needs

  • Partner with HR team in the development and execution of HR strategies that support business objectives and SWN’s Culture and Formula

  • Support local recruitment efforts for exempt and non-exempt roles in partnership with SWN’s recruiting team

Your background includes:

  • Bachelor degree in business or a related field and four (4) or more years of human resources and/or employee/labor relations experience required.

  • Master Degree (e.g., MSHRM/MBA) and/or HR certification (PHR/SPHR) strongly preferred.

  • Ability to serve as a leader for the corporation, accurately interpreting business drivers, intentions and decisions from a senior level, while coordinating understanding and buy-in across all local clients

  • Understanding HR processes and resources, can communicate best HR practices, and expertise to solve business problems

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills

  • Proven influencer in an operational setting to drive decisions and strategies aligned with business objectives and our culture

  • Establishing and maintaining credibility through accuracy and consistency with work product and demonstration of reliability and accountability with clients and colleagues

  • High professional standards; can be trusted to maintain confidentiality; positive attitude

  • Experience facilitating and leading change across all levels of an organization

  • Extreme customer focus while executing with a strong sense of urgency, drive for results and focus process development and/or improvement

  • Maintaining knowledge of legal requirements and regulations affecting human resources functions ensuring compliance, while proactively managing legal risk

  • Multi-tasking, establishing (and communicating) priorities and working independently

  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Future mobility is required.
